Job summary

Andy's Frozen Custard is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to ensure smooth shift operations and excellent guest service. You will train new associates, model calm leadership, and open/close the store while upholding the brand’s high standards for product quality and service.

This role requires 6+ months in a food-service leadership position, the ability to work a full schedule including late nights and weekends, and a friendly, energetic attitude that motivates the team and supports guests.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of proven management experience in food service or related leadership role.
• Extremely hands-on position; able to work up front with guests and staff.
• Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic.
• Must lead by example and coach team.
• Must have open availability including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Our Shift Managers are responsible for making sure each shift runs smoothly! Beyond running a shift, this person is heavily involved in training new associates, being an example of “remaining calm at all times”, opening and closing the store, and above all else, ensuring that our product is to the highest of standards and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age to be considered for this position.
• 6+ months of proven management experience in the food service industry or leadership role in a related industry
• This is an extremely "hands on" position, so must be able to physically work all shifts up front taking care of our guests and staff. Good news: this is not an office job!
• Must be friendly, enthusiastic, and full of energy
• Must lead by example and uphold high standards of operation in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a leader that helps their team grow through constant coaching and feedback
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be able to work full-time and have open availability, including late nights, weekends and some holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid employment track record with positive references

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 55 pounds independently and safely
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Constant computer, point-of-sale register, and found equipment usage
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist and spine
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around fountain area
• Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work
• Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
