Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Elementary Teacher Tutor (K-5) to provide academic support in reading and/or mathematics through the school program. Candidates must hold SRT4 in Early Childhood Education or pass GACE requirements, plus a Bachelor's degree with a 2.5 GPA.

Qualifications

• Certification: Minimum of SRT4-Certification in Early Childhood Education or related field (P-5) OR passed the GACE with exemption eligibility AND passed the GACE in Early Childhood Education
• Education: Bachelor's Degree required with at least a 2.5 GPA
• Work experience: Experience gained through education and certification/license requirements

Responsibilities

• Provides academic support and guidance in Mathematics and/or Reading/ELA for elementary level
• Provides tutorial services to students eligible for Title I services
• Provides evaluation/assessment data to the Office of Federal Grants and Program Compliance
• Provides feedback of tutorial service outcome to parents
• Provides required Title I documentation as requested
• Participates in pre and post planning program activities
• Supports and promotes the vision and mission of the district
• Models and requires professional standards in relationships and teamwork
• Maintains positive and collaborative environment for staff
• Represents the district professionally to stakeholders
