Job summary

EJ is seeking a Material Handler on 2nd Shift (2pm - 10:30pm) at Sunfield, MI. Responsibilities include moving materials by hand or forklift, loading/unloading, and maintaining a safe work area while upholding company values.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the culture, mission and core values of the company.

• Loads and unloads materials onto/from pallets and trucks by hand or forklift.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with hoist and keeps area clean.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to move materials.
• Work 8-hour shift with 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

SUMMARY

Supports and assists the sales function by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets and trucks by hand or forklift. Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Works and 8-hour shift with 30-minute lunch break and two scheduled 15-minute breaks.
• Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
• Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.
