Conrad Nashville is seeking an Employee Cafe Chef who will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for hotel team members across two daily periods. The role emphasizes well-being, safety, and high culinary standards in a welcoming environment.

The candidate should have 2+ years in a hotel/restaurant, culinary training, and strong organizational and communication skills to maintain quality, cost control, and timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary degree preferred.
• Must read schedules, menus and policies.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment (steamer, fryer, oven).
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute two daily meal periods with variety and nutrition.
• Prepare scratch-cooked meals accommodating dietary needs.
• Develop rotating weekly menus to engage team members.
• Portion, plate and present food professionally.
• Monitor quality and adjust preparation as needed.
• Follow approved methods and suggest recipe improvements.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food handling procedures.
• Work independently and notify supervisor of concerns.
