Loews Coral Gables Hotel is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to safeguard guests, team members, and property across a luxury setting. You will patrol the property, respond decisively to incidents, and maintain detailed logs to support safety operations.

The role emphasizes calm decision-making, clear communication, and teamwork with colleagues to ensure a secure and welcoming guest experience at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel security or related field (1–3 years preferred).
• Basic first-aid certification or ability to administer first aid preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to team member entrances, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff.
• Execute regular patrols to identify safety hazards and address them, contributing to guest satisfaction.
• Respond to emergencies following Emergency Response Procedures to safeguard lives and property.
• Maintain logs for visitor access and package removal, ensuring compliance.
• Inspect packages entering and exiting the premises to prevent unauthorized items.
• Document security incidents and actions taken for transparency and accountability.
• Enforce hotel policies and regulations consistently, fostering a safe environment.
• Interact professionally with guests to address concerns and enhance their experience.
• Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activities; assist in maintaining security.
