Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a Security Officer at our Wilmington, DE property. You will patrol the hotel to protect guests and staff, maintain a safe environment, and respond calmly to emergencies while upholding hotel policies.

This 24/7 role requires physical stamina, clear English communication, and the ability to coordinate with team during incidents. Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred, and the position offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer, printer, copier, and telephone.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility.
• Clear English communication to ascertain and document information.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel on foot to identify security risks and maintain safety.
• Observe and respond to emergencies, disturbances, and threats calmly.
• Assist guests with door lock issues and coordinate emergency responses.
• Handle safety violations and enforce hotel policies as warranted.
• Operate life safety systems and monitor alarm and sprinkler layouts.
• Answer safety hotline calls and document incidents legibly.
• Escort guests and staff as needed to parking areas and access points.
• Maintain neat appearance and support front desk personnel as required.
