Job summary

Hyatt Regency Orlando is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and the property. The role involves implementing safety protocols, responding to emergencies, and maintaining compliance with security standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for patrolling premises, monitoring systems, enforcing procedures, and assisting with events while staying calm under pressure and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
• Must be able to work weekends and flexible hours, including holidays.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property.
• Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to any suspicious activity.
• Enforce hotel safety and security standards and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies, including medical situations, fire alarms, or security breaches, in a calm and professional manner.
• Assist with crowd control during events, conventions, and peak periods.
• Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address safety hazards.
• Prepare clear and detailed incident reports as required.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
