Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Security Officer for the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort. You will perform patrols, enforce safety SOPs, and respond to emergencies to protect guests, associates, and property.

This role requires calm, decisive action and excellent communication with guests and team members. Ideal candidates demonstrate stamina, situational awareness, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help coworkers as a team.
• Thorough knowledge of the building layout and surroundings.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for the duration of the shift.
• Hearing and vision to observe emergencies, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk long distances on property.
• Ability to lift and move up to 150 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders quickly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of shift on foot patrol around the hotel interior and perimeter.
• Maintain order and respond to door lock issues; coordinate emergency responses.
• Address undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy.
• Monitor for suspicious persons and conduct walk-through observations.
• Answer security and safety hotline calls and respond promptly.
• Observe life safety systems and report alarms to the supervisor.
• Follow attendance rules and be available for regular shifts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
