Job summary

The Liberty Hotel in Boston is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to patrol the property, protect guests and staff, and respond quickly to emergencies. You will enforce safety SOPs, monitor life safety systems, and coordinate with hotel leadership to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to pitch in and help coworkers as a team.
• Knowledge of building layout, function rooms, and surroundings.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform essential functions for long shifts.
• Ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of shift on foot patrol around the hotel to identify risks.
• Maintain order and assist with door lock problems; respond to emergencies calmly.
• Address undesired conduct and policy violations; assist guests and staff.
• Monitor building entrances and conduct walk-through observations for safety.
• Answer security lines and respond promptly based on priority.
• Observe security monitors and report alarms to the supervisor on duty.
• Memorize and monitor life safety systems, including alarms and extinguishers.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
