Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to guard guests, team members, and the property. You will patrol the hotel, monitor access points, respond to emergencies, and maintain detailed security logs to ensure a safe, seamless guest experience.

The role requires 1-3 years in hotel security, calm decision-making under pressure, and strong communication. Association or security certifications are preferred, with opportunities to advance within a premium hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years hotel security experience preferred.
• Remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Operate departmental vehicles, including electric transport vehicles.
• Basic first-aid certification or ability to administer first aid preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to team member entrances and guest areas.
• Regularly patrol the property to identify safety hazards and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Respond to emergencies per Emergency Response Procedures to safeguard lives and property.
• Maintain logs for visitor access and package removal.
• Inspect packages entering and exiting the premises.
• Document security incidents and actions taken for accountability.
• Enforce hotel policies and regulations to maintain safety and respect.
• Interact professionally with guests to address concerns and enhance their experience.
• Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activities.
• Communicate safety-maintenance issues to management for timely resolution.
• Manage lost and found items to uphold standards.
• Support health and safety training initiatives with the team.
• Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings.
