Job summary

Responsibilities

• Inspects all rooms after cleaning and corrects minor issues, routing major problems to Room Attendant and rechecking the room.
• Completes and files room inspection forms for inspected rooms.
• Trains and re-trains Room Attendants under the Executive Housekeeper.
• Performs opening duties by assigning work to Room Attendants and prioritizing workload.
• Performs closing duties, ensures carts are cleaned and stocked, and communicates discrepancies to the front desk.
• Completes special cleaning projects as needed.
• Cleans rooms as needed or as requested by management.
• Manages key control for issued keys and for keys left by guests.
• Completes maintenance work orders and delivers to the designated area promptly.
• Provides excellent customer service to hotel guests and maintains professional conduct.
• Answers guests’ questions regarding the property and local area facilities and services.
• Maintains proper uniform and nametag in accordance with policy.
• Communicates status of guest rooms, requests, and maintenance issues with superiors and coworkers.
• Provides safety and security for the hotel and participates in emergency procedures.
• Contributes ideas on hotel operations and participates in training initiatives and skill development.
• Completes any other tasks requested by a supervisor, including training new associates.
