Home2 Suites Asheville Biltmore Village is seeking a Hotel Room Attendant/Cleaner to uphold our 117-room property at 61 Thompson St, Asheville, NC 28803. You will clean and stock guest rooms and public areas in line with brand standards.

Available to work any day of the week, prior hotel housekeeping is preferred but training may substitute. Excellent guest relations and a warm, friendly attitude are essential to deliver our It's MyPleasure service philosophy.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred; however, ability gained through 1+ years related employment (customer service) or on-the-job training may substitute for actual Front Desk experience.
• Must possess excellent public relations skills and a warm and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Makes beds neatly with fresh linen and prepares rooms to Brand Standards.
• Cleans bathrooms, replaces supplies, and restocks items as required.
• Removes trash, cleans surfaces, and reports maintenance needs promptly.
• Inspects rooms for cleanliness and readiness for guest arrival.

Summary

Performs routine duties in the cleaning andservicing of any area which may be assigned; supplies area with items which arerequired for the convenience and comfort of the guest. Adheres to specific Brand Standards asinstructed.

Job Duties

• Makes beds neatly with fresh linen (including:sheets, duvet, blankets and pillow cases). Makes rollaway beds, cribs, and sofabed.
• Removes dirty linen
• Picks up debris/trash from floors, removes andempties trash in wastebaskets, cleans mirrors and shelves, closet, in-room safe(if not being used). Inspects and restocks collateral. Wipes door frames,window sills, walls and baseboards, and arranges furniture properly. Cleans appliances, equipment, furniture andcupboards. High-dusts artwork.
• If Applicable: Remove trash, sweep, dust anybalcony/patio areas
• Inspects marketing collateral, replacingexpired or damaged items.
• Cleans & disinfects bathrooms including:basin, bathtub, toilet, tile, flooring, and walls using approved cleaningchemicals and rags.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies/amenities andlinen in accordance with brand/hotel standards.
• Replenishes room supplies (Coffee, condiments,mugs, glassware, utensils, cups, stationery, pens) in accordance withbrand/hotel standards.
• Cleans mirrors, windows, vent cover, glassdoors.
• If Applicable: Cleans & disinfects kitchenincluding: counters, refrigerators, stove, tile, flooring, and walls usingapproved cleaning chemicals and rags.
• Reports room status (vacant/occupied;clean/dirty; Do Not Disturb (DND) in a timely manner to the appropriatepersons/departments.
• Reports items that require repair oradditional cleaning to the appropriate person/department.
• Restocks housekeeping cart.
• Vacuums hallways.
• Turns in all lost and found articlesimmediately.
• Operates a light vacuum cleaner under beds,carpet throughout, as well as in front of hallway door.
• Additionalduties may be added at any time at the discretion of management.

Physical Demands:

• Requires ability to stand/walk for entireshift.
• Bend, Stoop, Reach - often.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. regular­ly.
• Ability to push housekeeping cart regularly.
• Requires ability to perform light tomoderately heavy housekeeping duties using the approved chemicals andequipment.
