Hilton Garden Inn Tacoma Downtown is hiring for multiple cook positions, including Full Time Breakfast Cook, Part Time Breakfast Cook, and Full Time Dinner Cook. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, paid sick leave, vacation, free parking, and overtime for holidays.

Essential duties cover sanitation, storage, food handling, inventory rotation, and collaboration with supervisors to create menu specials.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high sanitation standards across assigned area meeting Federal, State, and Local standards.
• Ensure organized and clean storage areas for all food.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items at shift end.
• Rotate inventory using FIRST IN - FIRST OUT.
• Prepare food per specifications for lunch, dinner, and banquets.
• Pre-prep and store food for restaurant and banquets.
• Keep storage areas clean and stocked, with proper product pars.
• Clean workstation as-you-go and leave it clean and stocked.
• Collaborate with supervisor/manager to create specials and use up available food.
• Maintain food security through regular inventories, proper portioning and secure storage.

Essential Functions (Duties include but are not limited to):

• Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility, which will meet or exceed Federal, State, and Local standards
• Ensure organized and clean storage areas for all food
• Ensure that all food items are properly handled, and stored at the end of the shift
• Properly rotate inventory (FIRST IN - FIRST OUT)
• Prepare food per specifications for lunch, dinner, and banquets
• Pre-prep and store food for the restaurant and banquets
• Maintain clean and orderly storage areas and proper product pars
• Clean your workstation "as-you-go" and leave it stocked and clean
• Work with the supervisor/manager to create specials to provide additional menu variety and use up available food
• Maintain control over food security through regular inventories, proper portioning, and correct lock up procedures and production methods

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
• Must be able to communicate clearly to restaurant servers, managers, and other culinary personnel
• Ability to follow recipes and menu specifics
• Ability to reach, bend and frequently lift up-to 45 pounds
