Job summary

Delano in Miami Beach is seeking a Receiving Attendant under the Purchasing Supervisor to receive, inspect, store, and issue goods for hotel departments, focusing on accuracy and compliance with controls and safety standards.

You will log items into inventory, verify deliveries, and help keep FEFO compliant, ensuring timely supply for food and beverage and operations, with emphasis on guest service.

Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming deliveries and verify accuracy of orders against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect goods upon arrival for quantity, quality, and condition; report discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
• Log received items into inventory systems and coordinate with Supervisor and Accounts Payable regarding receipts and invoices.
• Properly store all food, beverage, and general supplies in designated storage areas, ensuring FEFO and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Purchasing storage areas.
• Issue requested items to departments according to approved requisitions and ensure documentation.
• Accurately log inventory receipts and postings; follow audit and internal control requirements.
• Check in operational purchase orders and deliver to requesting department.
• Report inventory discrepancies, spoilage, or expired goods to Purchasing leadership.
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks or carts safely.
• Assist with end-of-month inventory procedures and prepare reports as requested.
• Provide lateral service as part of hospitality teamwork.
• Perform related tasks as needed to deliver exceptional guest service.
