OBX Resort, LLC DBA Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk is seeking a Public Area Attendant (Houseperson) for a part-time role with 3pm-11pm shifts and weekend availability required. The job focuses on keeping lobby and public areas clean, handling guest requests, and presenting a polished first impression in line with hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Must follow standard operating procedures and hotel policies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication with guests and colleagues.
• Proven work history and reliability.
• Ability to respond to emergencies on short notice.
• Detail oriented with guest-service focus.
• Must follow all SOPs and safety rules.
• Familiar with hotel emergency procedures.
• Respectful communication per policy.

Responsibilities

• Keep lobby areas and furniture clean and neat.
• Clean guest landings and vending rooms.
• Clean stairwells and ground floor tile.
• Check and maintain the physical condition of the hotel.
• Stock and replenish restroom amenities.
• Receive assignments from Front Desk and HelloShift.
• Check equipment and restock for next shift.
• Know security procedures for guest rooms.
• Report damages to Front Desk.
• Empty trash cans (indoor/outdoor).
• May be required to clean guest rooms.
• Keep pool, fitness center, and business center clean.
• Keep elevators clean and free of dirt.
• Accommodate guest requests and deliver items courteously.
• Answer guest questions about hotel and local area.
• Manage key control for issued keys.
• Carry out reasonable requests from management.
• Be available for QA inspections.
• Turn in daily shift checklist to management.
