Job summary

Residence Inn East Peoria is seeking a dependable Houseman to keep public areas clean and presentable, and to assist with light maintenance tasks. The role focuses on hotel public spaces, including hallways, lobby, and common areas.

The position is full-time on 1st shift with occasional weekends. You will support housekeeping and other departments as needed, while following safety and cleanliness procedures. Prior hotel or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Previous hotel, housekeeping, janitorial, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be available to work occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public spaces, including hallways, lobby, common areas, and other assigned areas.
• Assist with light maintenance and general upkeep throughout the property.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the hotel grounds and common areas.
• Respond to cleaning and maintenance needs as assigned.
• Assist housekeeping and other departments as needed.
• Follow all safety and cleanliness procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
