Job summary

The Inn At Rancho Santa Fe, part of Evolution Hospitality, is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Engineer. You’ll handle repairs, routine maintenance, and guest-facing tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Expect collaboration with a diverse team and potential shuttle duties where required. Key responsibilities include responding to work orders, maintaining HVAC and other systems, and upholding high standards of guest service and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record)
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Fix-It Pro: Perform preventative maintenance—bulbs, patching, painting, furniture and tile repairs to keep facilities in top condition
• Equipment Whisperer: Repair and tune-up ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen gadgets, laundry gear, HVAC, pool and spa equipment
• Safety Hero: Respond to alarms, investigate causes, report findings to Front Desk
• Trusted Access: Safely access safes, master keys, storage rooms, and secured files with discretion
• Guest Connection: Interact with guests and staff professionally; assist with safe driving for business needs
