Job summary

The Langham, Chicago is seeking a courteous PBX/guest services agent to answer calls, log messages, and dispatch requests. You will maintain guest privacy, coordinate with hotel departments, and ensure accurate message handling.

Training focuses on Forbes and Langham standards, with a focus on attentive guest service in a fast-paced setting. Role requires clear verbal communication, discretion, and the ability to work long periods in a confined workstation.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen effectively and speak English clearly on the telephone.
• Ability to input and retrieve information using a moderately complex system.
• Reading and understanding guest messages in English.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls promptly and greet callers with a positive voice.
• Transcribe messages and verify accuracy.
• Know Forbes service standards and Langham Brand Standards.
• Coordinate communications between guests and departments.
• Dispatch requests and follow up for completion.
• Handle wake-up calls and emergency line procedures.
