The Langham Chicago seeks a courteous PBX Operator to answer internal and external calls, input wake-up requests, and coordinate communications across the hotel. You will log and dispatch guest requests, maintain message accuracy, and uphold Forbes service standards while delivering exceptional guest service in a busy urban setting.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Hospitality experience is a plus.
• Ability to listen effectively and speak clearly on the telephone.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls promptly and greet callers with a positive, clear voice.
• Transcribe and relay messages accurately via the computer system.
• Be versed in Forbes and Langham service standards.
• Dispatch and coordinate requests with various departments.
• Maintain calm, professional communication during emergencies.
