Job summary

Highgate ROW NYC is seeking a Substitute Painter to maintain the property with a focus on painting throughout the hotel. The role involves painting walls and surfaces, repairing furniture, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and relevant hotel experience. The position is full-time temporary and located in Manhattan's Times Square, offering hourly pay in line with the hotel’s standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or related hotel experience.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy lifting – exerting up to 100+ pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure building, walls and items are painted in a presentable manner.
• Perform furniture repair.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Paint designated areas.
• Repair and finish sheet rock.
• Repair all types of wall coverings.
