Job summary

Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel in Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated full-time painter to join our engineering team. You will refresh interior and exterior finishes across the property, work on walls, ceilings, furniture and woodwork, and support guest satisfaction.

Experience in painting and carpentry is required, with CPR, OSHA 10 and scaffold training preferred. The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, ladder work and independent execution in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Wood refinishing and painting experience required.
• CPR, OSHA 10, scaffold training certification required.
• Previous carpentry and painting experience required.
• Must be able to read MSDS, safety information and maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
• Must be able to work as an independent painter.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shift reports.
• Document all calls in master computer log.
• Maintain interior and exterior finishes.
• Respond to guest calls and associate requests.
• Repair, clean, touchup and maintain wall coverings, ceilings, furniture and woodwork.
• Assist in cost control related to heat, power, light, sewer and water.
• Attend required Engineering Department meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
