Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a skilled Painter to maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas across our New Orleans properties. You’ll apply paints, stains, and finishes, prepare surfaces, and protect areas to keep the guest environment pristine.

The ideal candidate has hotel or commercial painting experience, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with teams.

Qualifications

• Hotel/commercial painting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surface prep, drywall repair, color matching, and paint application techniques.
• Experience with brushes, rollers, spray equipment, ladders, and painting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, furniture, fixtures, and other interior and exterior surfaces.
• Patch holes, repair drywall, sand surfaces, and prepare areas for painting.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and finishes to achieve consistent color and quality.
• Apply paint, primer, stain, sealant, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Protect guest areas, furniture, flooring, and fixtures before beginning work.
• Complete guest room, public space, and back-of-house touch-ups with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Inspect completed work and maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Maintain tools, equipment, paint inventory, and organized storage areas.
