Job summary

Courtyard Atlanta Downtown by Aimbridge Hospitality seeks an Operations Manager to oversee back-of-house operations and supervise staff in the absence of the General Manager and Manager on Duty. You will help drive profitability, guest satisfaction, and associate development across departments including Housekeeping, Engineering/Maintenance, F&B, PBX, Bell staff, Front Office and Banquets.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years progressive experience in a Rooms or F&B department Hotel; or a 4-year college degree and 1–2 years in Rooms or F&B
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Must be able to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adjust to meet constraints.
• Must be able to communicate clearly to guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance as required by hotel standards.
• Maintain high personal appearance standards and comply with dress code.
• Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe, efficient hotel operations.
• Ensure certification requirements (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR & First Aid) are met.
• Assist General Manager with financial reporting and corporate deadlines.
• Participate in required MOD coverage.
• Ensure training in service standards in each department.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training for Guest Services as occupancy dictates.
• Participate in meetings and manage oversell settings with Front Desk.
