Tandem Hospitality Group seeks an Assistant General Manager for Hotel Tristen in Pensacola, FL. The AGM oversees Front Office, Guest Services, and Housekeeping to ensure an exceptional guest experience and accurate financial outcomes.

The role requires leadership, staff development, and coordination of revenue strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue while maintaining high service standards. Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience in hotel operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Significant attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of hotel profitability and budget process.
• Computer skills with hotel information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to continually enhance and advance the hotel’s goals and operations.
• Establish consistent operating procedures and ensure they are followed.
• Motivate staff and establish a productive, positive and safe work environment.
• Schedule hotel staff to meet guest needs.
• Participate in revenue management and sales strategies to include daily business review.
• Ensure staff are trained to standards and conduct daily briefings.
• Monitor cleanliness and condition of rooms and public areas to meet standards.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping and front office inventories.
• Coordinate with engineering for maintenance and guest room readiness.
• Stay informed on competition, events, and industry trends.
• Support marketing plans and budgeting to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with Fire Department Safety codes and OSHA guidelines.
• Review guest service scores and drive improvements with incentives.
• Handle guest feedback and responses to reviews.
• Demonstrate guest service commitment and proactive guest engagement.
• Maintain professionalism and composure in all situations.
