Job summary

Raines Co. in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure the day-to-day hotel operations run smoothly. You will oversee staff and departments, coordinate front office, and uphold service standards.

You will implement policies, train personnel, manage staffing, and monitor financials. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, safety, and collaboration with management to drive continuous improvement and career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Prior Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, or Operations Manager experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applications.
• Experience with brand's PMS and Point of Sales systems.
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and staff assignments; assist GM in communicating departmental strategies.
• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Suggest and/or initiate staffing actions in line with company rules.
• Ensure staff are trained and equipped to perform duties.
• Supervise staff across departments as needed.
• Utilize company tools, systems and applications.
• Provide hands-on support for front office operations.
• Ensure accounts receivable are updated and payments followed up weekly.
• Oversee front office, revenue, and reservations to deliver guest services and secure transactions.
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints.
• Report incidents to HR, Insurance, etc.
• Maintain proactive HR, training, wage/benefit administration, and compliance.
• Recommend capital improvements to enhance assets and brand loyalty.
