SURPRISE HOSPITALITY LLC is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead all engineering, maintenance, and building systems for a new hotel opening in Surprise, AZ. The role focuses on pre-opening activities, commissioning, and establishing long-term operations that meet brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hotel engineering leadership experience.
• Experience with pre-opening activities and new hotel construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s engineering and maintenance team through pre-opening and operations.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, kitchen, laundry, and building automation systems.
• Review drawings, warranties, and equipment manuals; manage warranties.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and brand representatives to meet standards.
• Manage budgets, inventories, and vendor relationships; track punch lists and closeouts.
