Job summary

HHM Hotels seeks a Task Force Chief Engineer for a temporary 30–60 day assignment to lead hotel engineering during pre-opening and opening phases. You will prepare systems, coordinate inspections, and establish preventive maintenance while training the on-property engineering team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong HVAC/electrical knowledge, and can manage vendor activity and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced opening project.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in hotel engineering or facilities management with leadership experience.
• Experience supporting hotel pre-opening/opening, renovations, or property turnover preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, life-safety, and building management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and maintenance operations during pre-opening and opening phases.
• Prepare building systems, guest rooms, and public spaces for operation readiness.
• Coordinate inspections, permits, testing with contractors and authorities.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, life-safety issues.
• Establish preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.
