The Night Audit Manager will manage and oversee hotel operations, focusing on guest satisfaction and care. They will foster positive relationships with guests, handle complaints effectively, and report incidents to the department head. The primary role is to oversee hotel and safety operations during overnight hours, operating all relevant systems (Opera, Kiosk, Alice, ISO, Resort Radio). The candidate should be proactive in responding to guest needs, oversee night audit operations, and ensure policies and procedures are implemented to meet hotel standards. Responsibilities include managing hotel KPIs, maintaining security, supervising night staff, and ensuring proper reporting and documentation.
Key Objectives:
- Be available to address problems or complaints promptly.
- Ensure correct check-in procedures for late arrivals, including room allocation and luggage handling.
- Inform late arrivals about available night facilities.
- Oversee night staff duties and report to relevant departments.
- Rearrange rosters as needed due to illness or absenteeism.
- Perform call-outs and effective reporting.
- Maintain strict security measures, prevent unauthorized access, and manage unruly behavior.
- Secure all areas and keys after hours.
- Oversee night housekeeping duties and ensure cleanliness and service standards.
- Maintain personal appearance and hygiene standards, and ensure staff are well dressed.
- Check public areas for cleanliness and proper service.
- Ensure staff perform duties correctly without sleeping on the job.
- Update information boards for the next day’s activities.
- Take over from the evening Guest Service Assistant Manager and conduct staff training.
- Run the night audit system and prepare management reports.
- Report daily operations to the Front Office Manager and represent management during night hours.
- Supervise hotel operations in general.
- Ensure night housekeeping routines are completed.
- Must have knowledge of Opera, Kiosk, Alice, VingCard, Credit Card Settlements, Batches, and General Ledger systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Opera, Night Audit, Time Management, General Ledger, Key Systems (VingCard), Reservations & Revenue, Balance Reports, Excel.
- Minimum two years of Night Audit experience.
Development:
- Attend company training programs to develop skills for managing front office operations.
Health, Safety, and Security (HSS):
- Ensure compliance with maintenance, safety, and security procedures following ASTM, NEC, NSF, OSHA, and local codes.
- Adhere to policies on health, safety, and security, reporting risks and incidents promptly.
