Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to maintain and repair hotel systems, ensuring guest comfort and safe operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment, while providing responsive service to hotel operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on technical skills, strong communication, and a flexible schedule for weekends and emergency calls in a full-service hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters and related equipment.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with an Engineering team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on hotel mechanical systems.
• Inspect and repair HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment and controls.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures, water heaters, and domestic hot-water systems.
• Troubleshoot commercial kitchen and food-service equipment.
• Respond to service requests and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Identify energy-saving opportunities and optimize equipment reliability.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organized mechanical rooms.
