Job summary

Trilogy Hotel Huntsville, Autograph Collection by Marriott, located in downtown Huntsville, is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Chief Engineer and helps keep the property safe, clean, comfortable, and fully operational for guests and team members.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, respond to maintenance requests,

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs throughout the hotel.
• Assist with troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Respond promptly to guest room and public-area maintenance requests.
• Complete work orders accurately and communicate repair needs to the Engineering leadership team.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities for maintenance issues.
• Assist with painting, drywall repairs, furniture repairs, fixtures, doors, locks, and other general maintenance projects.
• Support the Engineering team with preventive maintenance and property improvement projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, engineering areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests and hotel team members.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations and respond appropriately when needed.
• Support the hotel in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and exceptional guest environment.
