Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or facilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, organized manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for safety and maintenance needs.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Support with property improvement projects and renovations as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as required.

At Hampton Inn & Suites Gulfport, our Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning property for our guests and team members. The hotel features guest rooms and suites, an indoor pool, fitness center, business center, and other guest amenities.

What You Will Do

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and guest needs.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, indoor pool areas, fitness areas, and exterior spaces.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist the Engineering team with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects.
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team.
• Assist with property improvement projects, repairs, inspections, and renovations as needed.
• Support outside vendors and contractors while working on hotel property.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
• Help ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-functioning property that exceeds guest expectations.
