Job summary

Hampton by Hilton Ponce is seeking a dedicated Hotel Repair & Maintenance team member to join our maintenance department. You will perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across the property to ensure guest comfort and safety.

The role requires hands-on expertise with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fixtures, and the ability to address issues in guest rooms and public areas. We operate 24/7, so candidates must be flexible with schedules and respond quickly to emergencies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical college certification preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various hotel systems.
• Familiarity with blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs supports repair work.
• Experience performing routine maintenance and repairs in a hotel or similar setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance: inspect, maintain, and repair building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fixtures).
• Guest room repairs: address issues in guest rooms and troubleshoot appliances.
• Public area maintenance: maintain lobby and common spaces; service restrooms and HVAC as needed.
• Emergency repairs: respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Safety systems monitoring: monitor fire alarms and life safety systems; respond to alarms.
• Energy conservation: observe energy usage and suggest conservation ideas.
• Inventory management: maintain maintenance supplies and tools inventory.
• Documentation: record maintenance activities and generate reports for management.
• Guest interaction: provide friendly service and respond to guest inquiries.
