White Lodging in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to maintain safety, functionality, and aesthetics across guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems. You will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency fixes, contributing to guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

The role requires basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and the ability to operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• General carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
