Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the hotel’s engineering team in keeping the property safe, functional, and presentable.

You will perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks and assist in maintaining equipment and facilities to meet brand and guest standards. The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, ability to operate hand and power tools, and the willingness to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally, and stand/move for long periods.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner.
• Complete all work assigned safely and professionally with communication to supervisors.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain spare parts and bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
