Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a General Maintenance professional for Graduate Providence in Providence, RI. The role requires maintaining the property and performing repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must communicate effectively with employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e., boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical).
• Take required readings on equipment and test cooling systems.
• Replace and program televisions as needed; repair and program hotel electronic lock system.
• Repair and finish sheet rock; repair all types of wall coverings.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records and ensure compliance with local/state/federal codes.
