Job summary

Hotel Indigo Baltimore Downtown is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to operate and maintain HVAC and related systems across the hotel. You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to issues to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include repairing kitchen, laundry, ice machines, boilers, plumbing and electrical systems, and reading blueprints to support building operations. A background in hotel engineering and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• State certification or licensure where required and ability to read technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate central HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintain kitchen, laundry, ice machines, boilers, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair as needed.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
