Job summary

Embassy Suites - Louisville Downtown is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold our high standards of guest comfort through proactive maintenance and attentive service. You will work under the Chief Engineer, handling preventative maintenance, repairs and safety checks across guest rooms, back-of-house areas and public spaces.

The role requires excellent customer service, physical stamina for long shifts, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Must complete Embassy safety, brand standards and guest service training.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Lift objects up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance in guest rooms, commercial spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and follow up on service needs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled by Chief Engineer.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and report problems with solutions.
• Assist with up-selling hotel services and facilities when appropriate.
• Attend daily huddles and departmental meetings as required.
