Job summary

DelMonte Hotel Group in Pittsburgh is seeking a Hotel Maintenance associate to uphold the building, equipment, and guest comfort. You will troubleshoot systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support seasonal outdoor tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency across all hotel facilities.

Ideal candidates bring 3–6 months in maintenance, a certificate or equivalent education, and strong communication and customer service skills to collaborate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and other

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 months related experience in engineering and maintenance, or similar role.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work well in a team and also independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the building, equipment, and assets to ensure a great guest and colleague experience.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, systems, and facilities (painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and equipment (HVAC, laundry, kitchen appliances, spa, alarms).
• Assist with outdoor seasonal work (lawn care, snow removal) and move furniture or supplies as needed.
• Keep the engineering shop clean and log readings from meters and gauges.
• Communicate room status changes with Front Desk and Housekeeping.
• Respond to emergencies involving Fire Alarms/Life Safety Systems.
