Job summary

DelMonte Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to help ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and associates. You will diagnose and repair equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support daily operations across the hotel's facilities.

The ideal candidate has 3 to 6 months in engineering or maintenance, a 1-year certificate or equivalent, strong teamwork, communication and customer-service skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1-year certificate or equivalent education.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Customer-service oriented and capable of multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot equipment, systems and facilities and make repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and equipment (laundry, HVAC, ice machines, spa, plumbing).
• Maintain pool/spa equipment per specs and health regulations.
• Assist with outdoor seasonal work (lawn care, snow removal).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the engineering shop and related areas.
• Log readings from meters and gauges as required.
• Communicate changes in room status with Front Desk and Housekeeping.
• Maintain knowledge of Fire Alarms/Life Safety Systems and respond to emergencies.
• Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading/storing supplies as needed.
• Provide safe transportation to guests using hotel shuttle when needed.
