General Hotels Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. You will maintain and repair guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to ensure top condition for guests.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, responding to guest requests, and performing preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Opportunities to contribute to a well‑established Midwest hotel group and grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hotel/hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and friendly, professional manner.
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and systems.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed; ensure safety and compliance.
