Job summary

SpringHill Suites Tampa North/I-75 Tampa Palms in Tampa, FL is seeking an Engineering Assistant to maintain guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems. The role is hands-on and focuses on safety, functionality, and guest readiness.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance, respond to repair requests, and support the hotel’s maintenance operations. Strong mechanical aptitude and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, apartment, commercial building, facilities, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general repairs is helpful.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.
