Job summary

Holiday Inn Washington DC- Central/White House is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician for a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. This role supports daily upkeep, responds to guest maintenance requests, and assists in preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, functional hotel environment.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and carpentry, with a high school education and at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have basic working knowledge in general plumbing, refrigeration and air conditioning.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, boilers and bathroom fixtures is required.
• Painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping skills are needed for hotel upkeep.
• Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions and operate basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders for general repairs within scheduled timeframes.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce malfunctions and extend equipment life.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• Maintain tools and workspaces in safe, organized condition.
• Assist in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures.
