Job summary

AKA Hotels+Hotel Residences is seeking a Maintenance Technician for AKA Sutton Place in New York City to support preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, and uphold high quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of maintenance experience with skills in plumbing, electrical and carpentry, and an emphasis on guest and team service.

Night and weekend availability is required. Candidates should be familiar with safety procedures and able to work with chemicals as needed to

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of maintenance experience.
• Flexibility with nights, weekends and holidays.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders.
• Perform scheduled maintenance assignments on a routine basis.
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs.
• Repair hotel equipment including appliances, boilers and HVAC components.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal.
• Perform other duties as needed.
