Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold our hotel's standards for guest rooms, facilities and public areas. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, handle repairs, and assist contractors while ensuring safety and brand compliance.

The role is full-time seasonal with potential to become permanent. Flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays is required; benefits include PTO, holidays, health plans, 401(k) and more for team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic computer proficiency including email/internet.
• On-call availability for resort needs outside business hours.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs to facilities, public areas, and streets.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks in guest rooms.
• Complete guest room calls when on duty.
• Check physical condition of guest rooms before and after occupancy.
• Ensure hotel is presentable and adheres to brand standards.
• Assist manager with supervision of service contractors.
• Inspect irrigation system and repair as needed.
• Inspect pool/spa and other amenities and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain hotel pools, test chemical levels, and adjust as needed.
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
