Job summary

Shaner Hotels Towanda Wysox is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the general condition of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Towanda Wysox and adjacent facilities. You will handle electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks and promptly complete department work orders.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of commercial maintenance experience, and knowledge of safety and building codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or vocational training is a plus.
• Building trade license or certificate from the state is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers clearly.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Minimum two years' experience in commercial maintenance or related trades.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and basic maintenance codes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general condition of the property, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting tasks.
• Complete maintenance work orders from all departments promptly.
• Participate in the preventive maintenance program for equipment and rooms.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Review daily work assignments and priorities with the team.
• Perform work orders for electrical, plumbing, and other systems per the PM program.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and handle chemicals according to hotel requirements.
