Valor is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a luxury hotel in Suffern, NY. You will perform routine repairs, inspect systems, and keep guest areas in top condition, with on-call rotations and overtime as required.

Ideal candidates have hotel or commercial building maintenance experience, proficiency with tools, strong problem solving, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent guest service.

Qualifikationen

• Hotel or commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
• General building maintenance knowledge.
• Skilled in multiple trades (plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, mechanical).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills for work orders.
• Independent work style with strong task prioritization.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
• Willing to perform outdoor work in varying weather.

Aufgaben

• Maintain hotel facilities and perform routine repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, doors, ceilings, etc.
• Perform skilled work in trades (plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, mechanical).
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for issues.
• Repair vacant rooms before new guests arrive.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Ensure safety systems function and report deficiencies.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies; participate in on-call rotations.
• Outdoor maintenance including salting, sanding, snow removal.
• Process work orders and update Chief Engineer on status.
• Maintain inventory records and notify management for supplies.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Use PC, smartphone, and maintenance apps.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Promote a safe environment and guest service.
• Develop relationships with hotel departments.
• Take ownership of tasks and complete them efficiently.
• Be available for on-call shifts and overtime when required.
