Job summary

Valor is seeking a dedicated Engineering Maintenance professional to ensure a safe, well‑maintained hotel environment. You will respond to guest requests with priority, perform preventive maintenance on critical systems, and uphold safety standards across the property.

Daily tasks include operating boiler and chiller systems, monitoring water quality, and completing logs. This role requires a proactive communicator who can handle emergencies and support parking and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school equivalent.
• Two years' experience in building maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to communicate with management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests, prioritize work and maintain equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Take water samples for boiler and cooling systems and monitor chemical levels.
• Operate boiler and chiller; monitor electrical switchgear and water systems.
• Complete rounds, log readings, and respond to emergencies (fire alarms, power failures).
• Assist with parking lot maintenance and snow removal; perform special projects.
