Job summary

Poppy Bank in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Maintenance Technician for a contract (1099) role rotating between hotels in the market. The position requires providing liability insurance and offers weekly base pay of $1,000–$1,100 with 70% travel.

The technician will perform maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and fixtures, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical or mechanical work, and installation/repair of kitchen appliances and PTACs.

Qualifications

• Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
• Responsible for providing their tools. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electronic repair with the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to provide acceptable identification at the TSA Checkpoint such as Real ID or U.S. Passport.
• Owning a service-type vehicle
• Preference for those who have completed a formal training program in one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair equipment and hotel fixtures.
• Carpentry, plumbing, electrical or mechanical repairs; install/repair appliances and PTACs.
• Prep rooms and assist with cleaning duties as needed.
• Ensure all issues are repaired by end of each shift.
