Job summary

Staybridge Suites Mayo Clinic Area in Rochester, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine upkeep and respond to guest requests. You’ll troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building issues while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment for guests.

The role offers full-time and part-time evening/weekend schedules with competitive pay and benefits. Hotel maintenance requires teamwork and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, apartment, commercial, or general building maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using maintenance software and basic computer applications.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Able to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building issues.
• Complete guest maintenance requests quickly and professionally.
• Repair and maintain hotel equipment, fixtures, furniture, and appliances.
• Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
• Maintain clean, safe, and attractive indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Document completed work and maintenance activities.
• Assist with room inspections and property upkeep.
• Work safely while using hand and power tools.
• Support other departments as needed to ensure an outstanding guest experience.

Schedule

We're Currently Hiring For Three Maintenance Technician Schedule Options

Full-Time

• Friday - Tuesday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (includes weekends)

Part-Time Evening

• Sunday - Thursday | 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Part-Time Weekend Evenings

• Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do
