Description

Summary: Responsible for maintaining and repairing furniture, equipment, fixtures, walls, minor construction, and general maintenance of Hotel property.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility, included but not limited to)

• Follow all departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and repairs Hotel equipment. (Furniture repairs, plumbing equipment, fixtures, walls, etc.)
• Perform minor construction, remodeling, painting and electrical circuitry.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on Hotel equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Hotel equipment.
• Safely operate various hand and power tools.
• Perform mathematical calculations and read blueprints as necessary to fulfill duties.
• Complete all documentation required under Hotel policies and procedures.
• Provide professional, courteous and cordial service to all Team Members and Guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude with prior maintenance experience or equivalent educational, training, and work experience.
• Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced atmosphere and work under pressure.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and a Black Oak Casino driver's permit.
• Must be able to communicate using portable two-way radios and/or cell phones.
• Must be able to pass mandatory drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
• Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous commercial building trade or facilities/maintenance engineering experience.
• Sheet rock finishing and wallpaper repair experience.
• Comprehension of blueprints and schematics.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
• Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
• Required to work at heights such as on scaffolding, ladders or platforms.
• Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, fumes, steam or chemicals.
• Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, weather gear, etc.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
• Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
